Sitz im Leben, My New Blog

I decided to reenter blogdom. Crazy, huh? I first started blogging in 2001 and created a biblioblog (Novum Testamentum Blog) in 2005. Yet after two or three years of silence, it is now time to send my meaningless thoughts across the internets once more, for that select handful of people to read. A lot of things have changed since I was blogging. Facebook has replaced much of the social interaction that used to take place on blogs. Twitter, whether you love it or hate it, has also made it easier to share links and short thoughts. I’m not sure how these will change the way that I blog, but I’m sure it will make some difference. I don’t know how frequently I’ll be able to post, especially once the semester starts up, but I do hope to be somewhat consistent.

To learn more about me or the blog, see the About page. See you soon.

It’s about time that the person who inspired me to create my blog finally has a blog again.

It was Kevin’s post on your previous blog that introduced me not only to him, but also to the program at UCLA, so I can say that your prior blog monumentally changed my life :)

I’m glad you’re back! But these comments are so small and scrunched up, they look like a swarm of tiny California ants. You should fix that, or else I’ll be forced to squish them.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. No, Jim, Wendy hasn’t tried to stuff me in a blender yet, but she’s probably considering it. Pat, I fixed the font size. I started to work on it, but forgot(!), so thanks for reminding me.

Welcome, love the title of your blog. Might I suggest Exile for your theological context of the Scriptures? :-)

Glad to see you back. I think you should celebrate with a biblioblogs interview with me (why oh why am I wanting this so bad?!).

On the title of your blog . . . Sitz im Leben. Sounds a bit historical-critical to me. Just so all my cards are on the table, I’m skeptical at the outset. (and yes, I am being sarcastic).

Thanks for your post on my blog. I am contemplating in the next day or two another list of little known facts–it seems to have been a big hit, and humorous to many. I have a few in mind.

    Shalom!

Great to see you back, Brandon!
