Reading French: A Guide for Students of Religion and Theology

I’m curious if anyone has encountered the following book:

K. Janet Ritch, Reading French: A Guide for Students of Religion and Theology (Clements Publishing, 2006; ISBN-13: 978-1894667272).

Besides the description below, I haven’t seen anything that evaluates the quality of this book. I’m thinking of buying it since the library on campus doesn’t carry it, so any input would be highly appreciated. Here’s the book’s description:

Current textbooks which introduce students to a reading knowledge of French are usually designed for the Arts and Sciences. This textbook is designed to fill the gap for persons of religious persuasion. The exercises introduce vocabulary from Christian liturgy, various translations of the Bible and French religious history and theology. For research purposes, a comprehensive summary of French grammar and principles of translation are provided for accurate translation from French into English.

I would be interested to see some reviews of this as well. I’ve always thought that there’s probably a market for German and French grammars geared specifically towards students of Religion.

Do let us know what you think of it if you buy it. My French is very general (built on four years of high school French), so I’ve been thinking of picking up a book like this as well.
