My New Workspace

There’s no question that PhD coursework consumes a lot of time and partly due to that I have not blogged much lately. Another reason is our recent move into a house. The stars finally aligned and it was the right time for Wendy and I to buy our first house. We knew that we would be in Atlanta for another five years at least, the housing market in Georgia was favorable to buyers, and there was a nice tax credit to first time buyers. So we purchased a new place and have been settling in over the past couple of weeks.

It took me a bit of time setting up the “study” (as we’re calling it). At first, I couldn’t decide which room to use (naturally wall space was a big consideration). Though the books were mostly organized in their boxes, it still took me a while to resort them according to their Library of Congress call numbers. But it’s all done now and the books are on the bookcases. So, in lieu of a blog post with any real substance, I thought I’d post a few photos of my new workspace and hopefully others will post photos of theirs as well.

I could not find any Yorba Linda Library specials in here. I guess you have shoveled all the chaff from this library?

There are a few, Josh, but not many. When are you coming to Atlanta to visit?

Wow! Nice setup you’ve got there.

Nice workspace; except for the use of a cat for a bookend! Cats should be free to roam and not forced to support books.

This is great! I’m jealous :).
