Danke. Received. Looks like it will take quite a bit of playing to see its value. Guess I'll save up my energy until after the quarter is over :)

Wave has potential for certain but—as you point out—it's hampered both by lack of compatible users (comparatively, even when I signed up for Gmail, I could still converse with my POPmail loving friends as well as those in the Hotmail ghetto, if need be) and the fact that I have to go to a whole nother program to traverse from Gmail to Wave keeps me from even really making an effort with Wave.

I really like Wave. It's an augment to my current online experience rather than an email replacement. Most of my friends/family use Wave, so it's nice to finally have a virtual space for collaboration that feels like it is distinct from my inbox. I also like how it gives me a space where I can see my online contacts without allowing them ALL access to a status like "running to the gym; back in an hour." Wave actually makes my Chat MORE functional for me. Eunuchs for the kingdom, I say!
