Many of them are quite good and offer sound advice. Pat McCullough recently wrote on the subject with a page called “Wanna Be a Bible Scholar?” but his approach is unique in that it is written for undergraduate students specifically. It’s an excellent page and it should be of much help to those who know early on that they want to pursue a career in biblical studies.

I just have one minor suggestion, Pat. Another helpful undergraduate major to add to the list is linguistics and I’m sure Mike Aubrey will be up in arms if he sees it’s not on the list. ;-)
